Apna Doctor – Affordable Healthcare for All
Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Yet, for millions living in underprivileged areas, basic medical treatment has become a luxury they can no longer afford.
In response to this growing crisis, we launched the “Apna Doctor” initiative in 2010, aiming to deliver accessible and affordable healthcare services to those who need it most.
Project Background
- In 2010, we successfully opened several community clinics in under-resourced neighborhoods, staffed by qualified and experienced doctors.
- These clinics provided consultation and basic medicines at a nominal fee of PKR 20 per patient, making healthcare accessible for low-income families.
- Unfortunately, after one year of operations, unforeseen challenges forced a temporary closure of these facilities.
Our Vision: Reopening “Apna Doctor” Clinics
Recognizing the growing healthcare crisis—especially with soaring medical costs and inflation—we are now actively planning to relaunch “Apna Doctor” clinics to serve the poor and underserved once again.
Future Model
- New Consultation Fee: PKR 50 per patient (inclusive of consultation and basic medicines)
▫️ Still significantly lower than commercial healthcare providers
▫️ A fair balance to help sustain operations while staying accessible to the poor - Target Areas: Low-income and high-need neighborhoods where public healthcare is insufficient and private care is unaffordable
- Clinic Services Will Include:
▫️ General medical consultation
▫️ Basic diagnostics and prescriptions
▫️ Affordable or free medication (based on need)
▫️ Referral network for serious conditions
Why It Matters
✔️ Medical help at the right time saves lives
✔️ Reduces the burden on public hospitals
✔️ Empowers local communities through better health awareness
✔️ Prevents minor health issues from becoming life-threatening due to neglect
Support Needed
To successfully relaunch and sustain the “Apna Doctor” clinics, we seek:
🏥 Donors and sponsors willing to support clinic operations
👨⚕️ Volunteer or part-time medical professionals who want to give back
📍 Partners to help identify high-need localities

Let’s come together to make quality healthcare a reality for all—because no one should suffer in silence due to lack of access or affordability.
